Right now I've started on my second biro drawing in my stargate SG1 series. They are all A5 size as I thought I would start small but may well do larger versions of a couple of the main characters, any suggestions for these are welcome!

I know I said I was going to do more charcoal drawngs this year and I've only just managed to finish the one of Kristen Stewart! But I seem to have the bug now that the first one is out of the way, plus I've discovered cotton buds are very useful when it comes to smudging hair and small details like eyes. So I've started another one... this time using Pitt Pastels. I only have about 8 colours so I may have to use one or two normal colour pencils for skin tone but if it works out I'll be buying some more.

At the moment I've got a lot of drawings on the go... A commission of a friend's parents, a wedding present for another friend of him and his wife on their wedding day, my cousin's dog Elsa and an A3 charcoal drawing of Kristen Stewart. I hope to get better with charcoal this year so I can add it to my choice of media for commissioning portraits on my site. It's pretty hard to work with as it smudges so easily but then that's also the good thing about it! Anyway I'm quite happy with the way it's turning out at the moment so you'll see it soon. Ebbie
